This homeless German shepherd “cries like a human” whenever someone gets too close to her

A dog's outlook on people may permanently alter if it has painful memories of mistreatment. A German Shepherd called Rain who had been living on the streets for many days before being discovered hidden beneath a vehicle. As someone approached the car, Rain clung to the wall behind it, shivering hysterically.

The animal rights organization "Hope For Paws" was made aware of Rain's antics by concerned neighbors. A few of rescuers quickly arrived to assist Rain. Loreta, one of the rescuers, was the first to approach Rain, offering her food. But, Rain's scared expression and sobs indicated that she flatly rejected the savior.

The terrible "human-like" moans that Rain made as he battled to liberate her stunned the rescue squad. What type of trauma she had endured to force her to express such unadulterated terror via speech was difficult to fathom. She was frightened and spoke something the rescuers had never heard before.

To avoid being rescued, Rain hid beneath the car and begged. She then slid into a dangerous crevice to further separate herself from the rescuers. But, the rescue crew cordoned off the area with a net while Loreta coaxed Rain back to safety with a noose.

Rain continued her eerily humanlike sobbing and emotions of heartbreak even after she was rescued. The rescuers worked tirelessly to get her safely confined in a cage and on the way to the hospital for evaluation. Thankfully, Rain was able to perceive his rescuers' genuine intentions and relax significantly while in the bath.

Amazingly, after being rescued, Rain's mental state improved dramatically. After two weeks of her rescue, she found a permanent family since she had become so lovable and cuddly in her foster home. Sassy Pants Dunbar is an awesome moniker that perfectly captures her zany character. She spends her days playing with her puppy sibling and begging for belly rubs from her human family. We are very pleased with the transformation she has undergone since her rescue.
